Tin-Coated Tungsten

Tin-coated tungsten was specifically designed for the Green Bullet program. Due to heavy lead contamination, lead containing small arms ammunition will be banned in training ranges. Sn/W blend is the temporary replacement. The quality of uniformity and processing will be a problem for the Sn/W blend because of the large density difference between the two metals. Our tin-coated tungsten has great uniformity and can overcome this problem to achieve higher performance levels. Metal Matrix Compounds (MMCs) made from Sn/W are able to have reliable high-quality, uniform components with a near-zero scrap rate.
