| Copper-Coated Tungsten |
| Cu-coated tungsten is used to replace copper and tungsten blend for production of high-performance shape charge. Tests show that the copper-coated tungsten enhances the bullet penetration by 20 percent when compared to the copper and tungsten blend.
Metal Matrix Compounds (MMCs) made from Cu/W are able to have reliable high-quality components with uniformity and a near-zero scrap rate. Cu-coated W is also applicable in heat spreader/sink and rapid laser forming applications.
