 Importance of Metal-Coated Particles

MCP technology can be used to create a new generation of specialty metal-coated particle materials covering broad applications. The MCP products provide customers with unique and superior mechanical, thermal, electrical and magnetic characteristics, compared to other products available in the marketplace.

MCP applications include thermal management, thermal spray, EMI & RFI shielding, metal-matrix composites, injection molding, metal-bonded magnets, electrical contact, wear and corrosion resistance, and other specialty applications. MCP products provide superior quality at lower costs.

The use of MCP materials in metal matrix composites (MMCs), for example, can improve mechanical properties by 30 to 100 percent or more. In thermal spray applications, metal coatings on ceramics and other materials can improve capture efficiency and composite uniformity over that achieved using other methods.
